CityJet today released details of its “Rugby Specials”  for fans wishing to attend the Wales v Ireland Six Nations match in Cardiff on Friday, 10th March next.

The airline is scheduling flights departing at key times  from Dublin on Friday, 10th March (10.30,  and 13.30) and returning on Saturday, 11th March (10.00 and 12.55). The Six Nations match against Wales kicks off in the Principality Stadium in Cardiff at 8.05pm (20.05) on Friday evening, 10th March.

CityJet Business Development Manager Michael Rogers said: “We have received countless enquiries in the last number of weeks concerning planned flights to Cardiff for the game against Wales. We do not serve Cardiff as part of our scheduled network, but we are very aware of the interest in the game which takes place on a Friday evening which makes it less accessible for many supporters. Consequently, we have decided to offer scheduled flights to Cardiff, departing on the Friday of the game and returning the following day. The flights are now available on www.cityjet.com.

Mr Rogers added: “We are very proud as an airline of our close links with Irish sport, and in particular rugby. As the official carrier of Leinster, we have regular fans who travel to games with us and we are pleased to have the opportunity of putting on scheduled services for what could be a crunch game in Cardiff.”
