The Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald TD, will present certificates to students in recognition of work undertaken in the community on behalf of Localise, at Coláiste Bríde, Presentation Secondary School, Clondalkin, at 1pm on Monday, 12th May, 2014.
The students have worked on community projects through Localise, which fosters youth and community development work. The event highlights the positive impact that community service learning has on students and the impact on the wider population.
Last year, Localise engaged over 1,070 youth volunteers in 80,000 volunteering hours for 240 community service projects resulting in delivery of almost €1.76m worth of community service work.
