The Gibson Hotel today announced that it is to partner the Dublin GAA senior football team as their Hotel of Choice.

The iconic four star hotel at the Point Village in Dublin will be a home from home for Dublin GAA football over the next three years.

At the launch today at the 252 room hotel, Dublin football manager Jim Gavin said: “The Gibson is the centrepiece hotel in a part of Dublin which is looking proudly to the future. It is a landmark hotel which represents all that is positive and progressive about our capital city and it is a fitting partner and a great asset for the Dublin footballers”.

“Located on the River Liffey, its proximity to both Páirc Parnell and Páirc an Chrócaigh places the Gibson in a great position to host and link our supporters from North and South of the River, as well as accommodate travelling GAA supporters. We are delighted that the Gibson has come on board and look forward to a successful partnership” Mr Gavin added.

Gibson Hotel manager Adrian McLaughlin declared: “When the opportunity arose to partner the footballing Dubs we jumped at it. We are an iconic hotel in the heart of a new, confident  Dublin and it is wonderful to partner one of the major GAA teams that almost every year is in the running for the ultimate prize in September.”

“The Gibson has always had a warm welcome for all sports fans. We look forward to welcoming the Dublin footballers and their supporters in increasing numbers over the coming years,” Mr McLaughlin added.

The Gibson Hotel opened in Spring 2011. Located at the Point Village, it is at the terminus of the LUAS red line and adjacent to the East Link bridge.
